Stuff You Should Really Check out

 

SO this is a short post because I’m currently getting ready to head out on the road to Lindsay’s mom and dad’s place in the middle of Saskatchewan for her 10 year reunion, which means I get to play professional arm candy for the weekend, making sure I wash behind my ears and brush my teeth and smile pretty for everyone. It does involve golf though, so I may have to break out my super-sexy golf dance if I hit a hole in one.

It’s a work in progress, but I think a few people may be blinded by its’ sheer brilliance.

Since it’s a quick time this morning, I wanted to share a few things that you might find to be pretty awesome, ranging from gym bullies to SuperHeros to Ahhhhnold!!

The quest of Mighty Trainer to rid the world of fitness mediocrity continues. It’s pretty fantastic. I’m sure you’ve seen situations that could relate to this one.

Fitness Bullies? – Jen Comas Keck

A beautifully written post on how elitist some people become about their workouts being superior to others, and how a little bit of knowledge can sometimes be more dangerous than complete ignorance.

Do It Because it Works: Why Everything Old is New Again – John Romaniello

“Bro-science” is a term that gets thrown around a lot these days. Research seems to think it’s the end-all be all when it comes to the true path, but research typically only studies what it observes as being an issue after others develop training programs that require research interventions. John brilliantly points this out on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s fitness site (who knew he had one of those??) showing recent research showing you can actually preferentially activate specific sections of muscles with varying positions, meaning the old caveat of change hand grip or foot position is actually correct. The funny thing is, body builders have known this for 50 years, and science is JUST catching up to it.

Super Hero Fat Loss – John Romaniello

This is a product that was recently released from John Romaniello on how to lose copious amounts of body fat while training like a masked scourge of evil-doers everywhere. I’ll admit, fat loss isn’t my main area of expertise, so I defer to the experts when I can, and you can’t get much better than John. His Super Hero Fat Loss program is both effective and entertaining, which is half the battle. With the hotly-anticipated release of the Dark Knight and the recent success of the Avengers, John has tied in his fan-boy love of comics and graphic novels with a slick and solid fitness product.

He also has it on for half off until Friday evening, so you should get it while it’s good and cheap.
