Kick-Ass Product Alert: Body By Boyle

If I had any beef about personal training, it’s the limited use of technology to make life easier. We can look at a lot of other professions and businesses that use technology for everything from mundane tasks to advanced information acquisition. Personal training, while heavy on the high-touch concepts of building relationships and making emotional connections with clients to help them overcome lifestyle obstacles and motivational concerns, there are ways we could all take advantage of technological initiatives. I’d love to see a day when tablet computers replaced clip boards, but it may just come down to what is convenient and learned being replaced by something un-tried and true.

A few months ago I wrote a post about how BodyByBoyle was a really great product for a fitness professional. It has all the functionality to help with program design, providing information to clients, and gives access to MBSC staff meetings, in-services from some pretty note-worthy speakers, and lots of other goodies.

The only downside to the initial product was that if you weren’t used to training a lot of distance clients, a lot of the services would be of little use to you, however the content more than made up for that. BodyByBoyle now has a couple of versions available, the Platinum edition mentioned above, but also an on-line edition recently released, which has all the content, programs, and in-services available for almost half the cost of the Platinum edition.

For anyone looking to get more knowledge about strength training and conditioning, injury prevention, and see some really cool hands-on sessions with some of the biggest names in the business, the investment is definitely worth it. The great thing is that you have unlimited access for a single monthly cost, so you can go completely buck-wild getting your learn on each month, and it won’t break the bank. You even have the ability to directly ask questions and have Mike answer them. How cool is that?

This is just one of literally hundreds of videos available in both versions.
