A Tuesday's Satchel Full of Randomness

This weekend The Future and I were planning to get engagement photos done, but of course it decided to be all cold and rainy. So we decided to go to Southgate Mall and see what it looks like after having multiple millions of dollars invested in it. It’s definitely a step up from before.

A couple of the girls at work are all excited because there is a new 3D dance movie coming out that they all want to go and see. I told them the only way they could get me to see a dance movie (even if it’s in 3D) would be if there were dancing bulls who then gored their opponents when they came to the realization that they have been soundly served.

Sadly, no such movie exists. But I’m calling the rights to this idea right now, so if at any time in the future you see a movie with a break-dancing bull who gores it’s opponents, you think of this guy right here. Word.

Funny story of the week: A client was doing some barbell squats, and forgot to do his pre-game before working out and busted out a nice loud cheek rattler in the middle of a busy time with a lot of people around. He was pretty embarrassed, so I decided to tell him a story of a client of mine who had it much worse. I was training a hockey player to get ready for training camp, and we were doing some heavy squats. I was spotting him, and on his second to last rep, he started struggling, and pushing very hard, and all of a sudden I hear this ripping sound and he drops the weight like it was a live wire, and bolts out of the gym heading for the change room at what could best be described as a 4 minute mile paced 1-legged side stagger. 20 minutes later he comes back into the gym, looking freshly showered, with different shorts on and a look that said in not so many words “We will never speak of this, and never say anything about it to anyone,” and says to me “Okay, ready to do this!?!” I had to slow clap his desire to keep his training on par, and gave him the session for free. After all, I do love a good fart, but he took it to the next level.

Then I found this…

I’m being my own test dummy for my new back book workout plan, and have been using it to get stronger and more stable through my entire spine. At the start of the year I managed to bulge a few discs in my low back, and was barely able to bend forward without pain. Yesterday, I managed to pull a 315 deadlift for 3 reps, which to me is a big step, and I’m going to shoot for 400 by Christmas to round out the year-long rebuild. Plus, pulling 8 plates is going to be crazy awesome!! I’ll have all the ladies wanting to get up in my business. And by all the ladies I mean The Future only. And by business I mean a system of procuring income through investments and labour.
