A Monday in a CPR Class is Never Enjoyable

As a requirement for working, I have to re-take a CPR certification each year. I don’t think there is anything wrong with this, as it saves lives. That being said, They’re gawd-awfully boring!!! I think they would be much better if there were some better videos than the cheap dollar-store ones shown, and would be much more entertaining with some of this in there…

And when it gets to the part where we have to use the AED to shock the hell out of the guy on the floor, we should be required to say something like this guy…

That would kick so much ass, it would automatically jump-start their heart and make them want to break dance the hell on out of there. **Screw you ambulance!! I can leave on my own!!!**

I’ve had to use CPR a few times, and only once while at work thankfully, but I am sure I’ll need it again in the future, as I’m working with more and more high-risk clients that are pretty much walking time bombs of cardiac episodes, so I guess I should know my stuff and be up on it. That and the whole “need it to keep my insurance” thing is kinda important too!!
