It’s pretty much become fall in Edmonton, which means morning bike rides in to work are in the dead of night, plus temperatures around freezing. As a result of that, I’m not biking into work nearly as much, but the good thing is with the Basement of Champions slowly taking shape, I can still get in some workouts at home when I have the time. I just bought a spin bike, so I’ll still be able to get some cardio in on a regular basis. Plus, deadlifting all of the weight.
The squat rack should be here sometime this week, which means even more excellence to come. Plus, we have a very special motivational device on the way. Post to come when it arrives.

Imagine this scenario: you just published your first book which went to the top of the New York Times best sellers list. You just married your best friend and moved to your dream house, with nothing but open doors for your future ahead of you. Some would say this is the best thing in the world, but others wouldn’t fare as well.
John wrote an intensely personal and informative post about his own experiences with depression, suicidal thoughts, and some of the root aspects that can affect many of the population silently. This is an important read, as a few weeks ago in the span of a few days, I saw 4 different individuals who had died by suicide: 2 locally and 2 I hadn’t met in person yet. By all appearances, there wasn’t much of a reason they should get to a point where death should be a consideration. Roman rocked this one out.
