Clients Hitting their Goals makes a Happy Trainer

So this has been a pretty cool week for all of my clients, and I want to share some of their success with you fine fine readers out there.

1. Boot Camp participant Luc Boisvert has lost 60 pounds since January 30th of this year, going from 221 pounds to 160 pounds in just under 5 months. In case you were wondering, that was about 3 pounds a week, and he’s had three knee surgeries, a plate in his neck, and a few other fun things along the way. At the start I thought he would need to have the defibrillator next to him at all times while on the treadmill, and now he’s keeping up with the best of them at a full run.
2. Carole Barton has lost 70 pounds since February 4th, and I’ve been giving her the workouts to devour on her own on a monthly basis. Her goal was to tell her doctor that no, she didn’t need to go on medication to manage elevated blood sugar when she weighed just over 200 pounds at the start of the year, and when he told her that she could come back in 6 months when she failed to change anything about herself and he could prescribe her some meds then. I want to see the look on that doctors face when she says that he needs to lose a little weight!!!
3. Josh Kott lost 31 pounds of fat on his 6-pack contest with his friends since the middle of March. On top of this, he gained 10 pounds of muscle, based on body composition results, and he has improved his posture, knee strength following ACL reconstruction, and changed his entire outlook on life. He also upgraded his girlfriend!!
4. Diane Boisvert (Luc’s husband) has increased her mileage in training for her marathon, and added speed to her average pace. With three weeks until the Edmonton Marathon, she is setting a goal time of 3:20 to qualify for Boston at over 55 years old. She still has difficulty figuring out left from right, and following the group outdoors, but I don’t think that can be changed.
5. Gail has lost 20 pounds of fat, gained 5 pounds of muscle, and discovered that her bad knees that she has dealt with for the past 20 years are manageable and improving. And all this after recovering from breast cancer and aggressive chemotherapy two years ago. We started training shortly after she was diagnosed and had surgery, and all the way through her treatments, and in that time she increased strength, cardio fitness, and overall health (doctor’s blood tests helped determine that one) where most people show decreases in everything!!!

Obviously this has made me one happy trainer, but not as happy as these guys.

Soccer is a weird sport…..

Since this is only Thursday, I figure it’s been a good week!! The best feedback a trainer could ever receive from their clients are attaining the results they wanted to achieve.
