Fascial Anatomy and How to Lift Stupidly Heavy Things
Most biomechanical models only show how we can lift loads up to around 100 kg, meaning every powerlifter in existence who can pull over 225 is essentially proving physics wrong. One component that is the Rodney Dangerfield of anatomy because it don’t get no respect at all, especially as a contractile tissue, is fascia. I’ll show how fascia can generate more tension, contractile forces, and even produce joint torque through the low back, and how to get the most out of it.
Where to Start with a Core Training Program
With all the different core exercises out there and all the different variations on those exercises, how do you know what the right exercise is for the specific person you’re working with, at this very moment in time? I’ll show a systematic method for determining safe and effective program design while also maximizing the challenge and minimizing negative compensation patterns with the use of a simple algorythm. It’s really simple. Not just “Big Bang Theory nerds think it’s simple,” but your grandma who’s never worked out a day in her life could follow along and rock some worlds.
How to go from Broken to Badass
I’ll show some of the rehab based exercises I use with clients, and why they’re still more intense than 90% of the ab exercises you see done incorrectly all over the world. These are the same types of exercises I also give to high level and performance outcome clients who can tolerate big loads, and the only difference is a simple twist to a variable or two.
