2 Big Announcements for Easter Weekend

Okay, so I know everyone is probably enjoying a long weekend, whether you choose to observe this weekend as religious or not, so I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I did want to give you some much needed information on a couple of really big thins coming up.

First, I’m very excited to announce Tony Gentilcore and I will be teaching a workshop together in London, UK in September of this year. I’m guessing involving a Canadian and a Bostonian in a seminar in London would probably be enough to start a revolution, but I’m hoping for some deadlift PRs and maybe a few pints at a pub. We’ll probably even have a few photo ops for some Predator Handshakes™ and the odd Star Wars reference.

We’re currently working out payment details to make sure you can pay and show up and not have security throw you out into Oxford Circus, most likely in the rain and definitely into a puddle, but we’re taking pre-registration information from everyone so that once the payment info is ready to go, we can contact everyone and give them priority access. **Probably not what we’re calling it, but it sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it??

Okay, so now on to the really big news. I’m currently working on the initial planning steps for a new workout program I’ll be launching in the future. This is going to be a 12 month process, which I’m sure a lot of people will think is a ridiculously long time to prep for a product launch, but there’s a reason for that.

Most programs sold on the internet are only 12 or 16 weeks tops. This is great for people who can devote 3 or 4 months to a program, but then they get to the end and want more. I’m going to build a 6 month program, which will not only allow for more workouts and a longer time involved on a program, but also allow people to see bigger and better results, feel some more advanced periodization, and also get into some more advanced lifting mechanisms versus just 12 or 16 weeks.

I want to make sure this program works, and I want to track some statistics as per how well it works and what it does. When you look at most of the research done in exercise physiology, the subjects have a lot of data collected which is then analyzed to come to a conclusion about whether the impact of the intervention was significant or whether there wasn’t any real change.

As a result, I’m going to be looking for willing recruits to Beta test the program when it’s ready to roll, and will be tracking their development and results over a full 6 month process. I’ll even be doing the workouts too, so I’m curious to see what I can get up to.

The main reason for this is I’m tired of lame marketing techniques used by fitness marketers where they showcase only the people who have the best results with their program, but don’t show any specific quantitative results. For instance, they’ll showcase one or two people who lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks, but fail to discuss the fact that there’s a bell curve of normal distribution when it comes to the results anyone will get with a fitness program. If 100 people take on the program, and only 1 loses 20 pounds, but 60-70 people lose only 5 pounds and some actually gain weight, the program isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

However, if I were to show that people averaged a specific amount of weight lost, a specific increase in their strength scores, and a specific adherence to the workouts, that becomes way more tangible and realistic to the individual looking to take on the challenge.

Another way to put it: Say I were to guarantee you would lose 10 pounds doing my workout program, and all you had to do was show up and follow along step by step, you would probably want to get in on it.

So that’s essentially why it will take so long to put this puppy into action. The good news is when it’s ready to go, it’s going to be awesome. I’m talking other-worldly. I want to compete with the P90X programs and others of that magnitude, so I want it to be an absolute lock that all the bases are covered. As a result, I’m going to look to over deliver on value and service when it’s released.

You know how most programs have a silver, gold, and maybe a platinum edition to offer? Screw that. Silver sucks, and the price of gold is only going up. therefore, I’m only offering Gold, Platinum, and because this program is going to be able to turn you into an absolute beast, ADAMANTIUM.

Now the kicker for those looking to do the Beta test is you will have access to the entire Adamantium package when it’s released, as well as the entire 6 months of programming almost a full year before anyone else has a chance to check it out. Because you’ll be helping me test it out, I’m going to keep in touch with you pretty closely to make sure the program is going smoothly, adjust things as needed, make changes to ensure the development and results are coming as best as possible, and help coach you through the program as best as possible.

What You’ll Need To Do

This won’t just be getting stuff and hanging out all day. You’ll have to do the workouts and give me detailed information on what’s happening, send progress reports, do body composition and strength testing on regular intervals, track your workouts in logs, and send me before and after photos that would be potentially used in the marketing of the program.

Since you’re going to get unprecedented access and technical support from yours truly, as well as get a lot of programming and info to help you get your swole on, there will have to be a small fee to cover the costs of time and organization. For everyone looking to get into the Beta testing group, you’ll need to make a one-time payment if $199, which will cover the following:

  • full 6 months of the program
  • ongoing technical support
  • t-shirt collection
  • all bonus material when available
  • bragging rights to all your friends and colleagues for being the first on the block to test this out

To give you an idea, each month someone does a distance coaching program with me, it costs $229 plus tax. You get 6 months for less than the cost of one month, plus you get some other goodies too.

I’m looking to have the program ready to roll for beta testing at the end of May or early June, so until then I’m looking to just take pre-registrations from those looking to participate. Remember, you have to commit to 6 months of training, be willing to communicate about how your program is going and do regular body composition testing, plus before and after pictures. If you’re down for that, fill out the contact form below and I’ll contact you when the program is ready to go.

This is gonna be awesome. I want you to come along for the ride with me.
