After watching the Canucks implode last night and lose the Stanley Cup with two straight losses, the sky seems to have a bit less blue to it, in favor of some lowly yellow. Either that or it’s some acid rain from all the refineries around Edmonton. Giving credit where it’s due though, Boston played a hell of a series, and
as much as all of Canada will want to fire bomb them they definitely showed who the better team was, so props to them. That being said, I bet every Canucks fan would want to do something like this to Tim Thomas.
Today is day one of the Edmonton Post Rehab course, and I’m hoping everything goes smoothly and I can get some quality recordings out of it. Will technology prove to be my bitch and do what I want it to or make me wish for a sweet rage-filled stomp of technology that the guys from Office Space would slow clap.
Hopefully I’ll be able to rattle a few cages with some of my finer points, like how overhead pressing is overrated, knees don’t need much direct knee training, and spines are usually pretty simple to work with once you know how they move and what makes them hurt. That, and standing on a bosu while pulling an elastic and curling a dumbell while singing jinglebells makes you look like a completely useless waste of skin with no friends and the personality that makes dogs mistake you for fire hydrants.
If you want to join Cirque du Soliel, do stuff like this. If you want to get stronger, lift heavy shit. If you want to run faster, run faster for shorter distances. Don’t do stuff like this, as the cross-over into anything appreciable is almost negligible, and there’s always some better way to do things.
So I’m going to be re-visiting my role in Muscle Imbalances Revealed: Lower Body as I contribute a couple of webinars to Muscle Imbalances Revealed: Upper Body. I’m going to be joining the likes of Rick Kaselj, Tony Gentilcore, and Jeff Cubos to hopefully put something together that will rival, and yes even completely destroy the success we had with Lower Body. Hopes are that we’ll have it all together by the end of summer.
I have to admit, I’m glad the Heat lost the NBA Championship this year. I mean, the Decision was a joke, the Press Concert that followed with “The Big Three” was ridiculous, laughing at Dirk for playing sick, even though he toasted the Heat for 21 and hit the game-winning shot. I stumbled upon this rant regarding LeBron, and I have to say, it was one of the most witty, poignant pieces of in-depth journalism I have ever read. That, and it’s stupidly funny. If you like a good rant like I do, you’re gonna love the verbal throw-down served up in this one!!
I just found out yesterday that I’ll be presenting at canfitpro in Calgary this coming fall, and will be talking about Muscle Imbalances and Performance: How to Find the The Source of the Problem. I hope to see you all there. No? Okay, well……. damn.
As an added bonus for you, here’s something you will never be able to do quite as well as this guy.
